A Brain Map is a snapshot of brainwave activity that allows us to see how the brain is functioning by reading the Alpha, Beta Delta and Theta brainwaves. By recording brainwaves over a period of 12 minutes, we can get an accurate picture of how fast or slow brainwaves are moving. A brain map is crucial to effective neurofeedback training, as it presents a customized picture of each person and how their brain is operating.
To understand how this process works, it helps to know how brainwaves function. Click here to learn more about brainwaves and how they contribute to many neurological conditions.
To start, a cap is placed on top of your head, covering all areas of your head. For 12 minutes, you relax with eyes closed or stare at the wall while our software captures the electrical impulses in the brain. This method is known as an electroencephalogram (EEG) and provides an accurate recording of your normal brain function.
Your data is then uploaded to a database, where it is compared against documented normal brainwaves to determine irregular patterns. It not only measures alpha, beta, delta and theta brainwaves, but it measures them for each area of the brain (frontal, parietal, occipital, central and temporal). A report is generated that identifies the problem areas of the brain. This report will display the results in a clear and concise format that can be easily understood.
The brain map is a revolutionary new tool in accurately identifying the problem areas of the brain. It takes the guesswork out of the assessment process and provides an accurate road map for improving your health and well being.
We proudly serve the Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Greeley areas of Northern Colorado.
The Brain Map Report
Here are several pages from the brain map report:
This page shows an analysis of each lobe of the brain (frontal, parietal, central, temporal and occipital) for each type of brain wave: Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta. Green indicates a normal level, red is elevated and yellow is extreme.
What Is Neurofeedback?
What if you could eliminate or reduce brain related problems just by watching a movie or listening to music? Sound too good to be true? Neurofeedback can help, and it is backed by over 50 years of research in studying how brainwaves affect your health.
What Is A Brain Map?
A QEEG Brain Map is the recording of brainwaves on the surface of the scalp. It is non-invasive and does not use any radiation. The results are compared against a map of a normal functioning brain to identify irregular patterns that can cause many neurological conditions.
Is neurofeedback dangerous? Does it hurt? Does it require drugs? How long do I have to do it? Is this just another one of those health fads? These are all common questions we hear every day. Find your answers here and get the facts about neurofeedback and brain mapping.
Decades of Research
Neurofeedback has been around since the 1960’s, and has over 5 decades of research from medical professionals to prove it’s effectiveness. You can view our research articles and case studies here.
